Tramp metal separation devices protect critical areas of plastic injection, blow molding, and extrusion and regrind equipment from stray ferrous metal found in resins. Removal of stray ferrous metal significantly reduces costly damage to nozzles, screws, check valves, molds, regrind blades and other equipment. |

Hopper (Grate) Magnets |
Round square and rectangular magnetic grates are used to remove ferrous tramp metal in hopers, bins and chutes. Grate magnets use round 1" diameter seam welded stainless steel magnetic tubes placed on 2" centers. Tubes are welded into a heavy duty stainless steel frame. Resin size, shape and rate of flow may require the use of a diverter to direct material flow over magnetic tubes. |
